FIELD: ceramic industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the ceramic industry and can be used in the manufacture of lining for ball mills. Method consists in preparing a quartz glass slurry with a density of 1.86÷1.91 g/cm3, fineness with a residue on a sieve of 63 mcm 4÷10 %, form a ceramic preform of a composite structure of thickness 20÷40 mm its wad and firing, fitting and lining elements of the lining are produced. Further, the loading hatch is drilled, the lining is installed in the metal drum of the mill, its alignment and fixation by pouring in the gap between the lining and the metal drum of the gypsum solution. In this case, before starting the garter, the workpiece is covered with a sackcloth cover, held for at least 24 hours, then dried without a cover for at least 48 hours, is burned. Firing is carried out in two stages: first at a temperature of 120÷200 °C for 2÷3 hours, and then at a temperature of 1,130÷1,250 °C for 1÷4.5 hours. Rate of temperature rise between the first and second stage should not exceed 300 °C/hour. Lining elements are adjusted by selecting fired blanks having a density difference of not more than 0.02 g/cm3.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to substantially improve the processability of manufacturing lining of ball mills with an increase in their quality.
