METHODS FOR OBTAINING CATALYST USING HYDRATED REAGENTS Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC B01J21/06 B01J21/08 B01J23/26 B01J31/02 B01J31/04 C08F4/16 C08F4/22

Abstract RU 2813292 C2

FIELD: pre-catalyst compositions.

SUBSTANCE: precatalyst composition for the polymerization of olefins, containing: a) a silica support containing silica, in which the amount of silica is in the range of 70 wt.% up to 95 wt.% based on the total weight of the silica support, and wherein the silica support contains from 0.1 wt.% up to 20 wt.% water; b) a chromium-containing compound in which the amount of chromium is in the range of 0.1 wt.% up to 5 wt.% in the amount of silica; c) a titanium-containing compound, one or more carboxylic acids, where the amount of titanium is in the range from 0.1 wt.% up to 20 wt.% in the amount of silica; and wherein the equivalent molar ratio of titanium in the titanium-containing compound to one or more carboxylic acids is in the range of 1:1 to 1:4; and d) one or more acidic phenols, where the equivalent molar ratio of the titanium-containing compound to the one or more acidic phenols is in the range of 1:1 to 1:5.

EFFECT: combination of an acidic phenol and a carboxylic acid dissolves titanium to form a pre-catalyst which, when oxidized, will form polymerization catalysts with high activity, resulting in increased productivity while reducing emissions.
