SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to control the purge of a converter. The method includes calculating, by means of heat balance calculation and material balance calculation, an amount of oxygen to be supplied and an amount of charging cooling material or temperature increasing material to be charged to control the temperature and concentration of molten steel components to predetermined values at the end of purging in the converter, and purge control in the converter based on the estimated amount of oxygen to be supplied and the estimated amount of cooling material or temperature raising material to be charged, wherein the temperature of the molten iron used as the purge feed material, which is a standard heat balance calculation parameter, is used as the molten iron charge temperature used in the heat balance calculation, and is measured during the time period when the molten iron is charged into the converter before blowing begins.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to precisely regulate the temperature of the molten steel to a predetermined value at the end of the blowing process.
