FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in converter method of steel production. Liquid iron is subjected to dephosphorization process, and obtained dephosphorized liquid iron is subjected to decarburization process to produce molten steel. For the dephosphorization process, prior to loading the liquid iron which has not undergone dephosphorization, the first pig iron is loaded into the first converter in an amount corresponding to the given formula: %Ws0 ≤ 0.1186T − 134 (%Ws0 ≥ 0) (1), where %Ws0: fraction (%) of the first pig iron in the sum of the first pig iron and the amount of loading of liquid iron which has not undergone dephosphorization and T: temperature (°C) of liquid iron which has not undergone dephosphorization.
EFFECT: invention enables to use a larger amount of pig iron in the process of refining pig iron and liquid iron contained in a converter, at the same time not allowing pig iron to remain unmelted, without deterioration of efficiency.
