FIELD: medicine; oncology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for early diagnosis of recurrent colorectal cancer (RCC) while monitoring the course of the disease. The level of methylation of the SEPTIN9, IKZF1 genes and LINE-1 repeat sequences in extracellular blood DNA was determined during dynamic observation 3, 6 and 9 months, 1 and 2 years after treatment. When the level of methylation of the SEPTIN9, IKZF1 genes increases and the level of methylation of LINE-1 sequences decreases by 2 times or more in comparison with the methylation level on days 10–15 after surgery, relapse of RPC is determined.
EFFECT: method improves the accuracy and information content of the early diagnosis of recurrent cancer by conducting regular comparative analysis of the level of methylation of single-copy genes SEPTIN9, IKZF1 and LINE-1 repeat sequences in extracellular blood DNA at the stages of dynamic observation.
