FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used to assess the risk of developing lung cancer against the background of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Venous blood is taken, in which the DNA methylation profile is determined. When hypermethylation of CpG sites in the RARB and ZNF260 genes in extracellular DNA is detected, patients are classified as a high risk group for developing lung cancer.
EFFECT: method provides increased accuracy and information content while reducing invasiveness by determining hypermethylation of CpG sites in the RARB and ZNF260 genes in extracellular DNA.
