FIELD: testing fire-resistant liquids.

SUBSTANCE: method for studying the operational properties of fire-resistant liquids is disclosed, which consists of supplying a fire-resistant liquid of a known mass into a reactor, supplying water, heating in the presence of a catalyst, measuring its acid number, while supplying 8-15% by weight of the fire-resistant liquid of distilled water, mixing the fire-resistant liquid and water, the resulting mixture is heated to 90-105 °C and maintain it at a given temperature for 100-200 hours, support the hydrolysis reaction, returning the water condensed as a result of evaporation, periodically measure the acid number by taking a sample of the fire-resistant liquid from the reactor, compensate the volume of the sample with an equivalent volume of distilled water, measured values of the acid number of the fire-resistant liquid record, build a graph of the dependence of the acid number on the time of sampling, and based on the nature of the graph, make a conclusion about the performance properties of the fire-resistant liquid.
