FIELD: dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bioengineered structures including devitalized and/or decellularized extracellular matrix produced and assembled by body cells, which, when cultivated in 3D space conditions in human-derived cells that populate this matrix, induces differentiation into the desired cell types. A method of inducing spontaneous differentiation of periodontal ligament and periosteum cells in the odontogenic and osteogenic directions by using decellularized human tooth and periodontal ligament matrices populated with cells obtained from the human periodontal ligament and periosteum in a 3D collagen hydrogel are proposed.
EFFECT: provision of a microenvironment that induces osteogenic and odontogenic differentiation of the periodontal tissue cells inhabiting it in order to replace lost periodontal tissue, helping to reduce the cost of the bioengineered structure and speed up the healing time.
