FIELD: cell biology; medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for manufacturing a cell-free matrix from human umbilical cord to create a highly regenerative wound cover. To implement this method, a native umbilical cord is first obtained. It is then sterilized with a 10% hydrogen peroxide solution, dissected, fragmented and homogenized. After that, it is decellularized, washed from the reagent and detached cells, neutralized with sodium hydroxide solution and re-centrifuged, then lyophilized. To remove cells from the matrix during decellularization, a 0.01% solution of dodecyl sulfate (SDS) is used.

EFFECT: invention minimizes the potential toxic effects of SDS residues by removing nuclear substances from human Wharton's jelly with a lower concentration detergent solution.
