FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses the use of a combination of a reaction product (a) of a carboxylic acid-derived acylating agent and an amine, and a quaternary ammonium salt additive (b) for combating internal deposits on diesel engine injectors, deposits are formed in diesel engine injectors with carboxylate residues present as metal salts or ammonium salts, wherein a quaternizing agent used to prepare the quaternary ammonium salt additive (b) is selected from a group consisting of dialkyl sulfates; carbonic acid ester; alkyl halides; benzyl halides;carbonates substituted by hydrocarbyl; and hydrocarbyl epoxides in combination with an acid, or mixtures of the listed substances.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improving the performance characteristics of diesel engine by preventing or reducing the formation intensity, reducing or removing deposits that form within the injector body.
