METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF EXTERNAL GENITAL ENDOMETRIOSIS IN PATIENTS WITH TYPE 1 DIABETES MELLITUS USING NOMOGRAMS Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01N33/68 A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2814561 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to gynaecology, and can be used for prediction of external genital endometriosis (EGE) in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM 1). Following predictors are determined: the level of survivin in blood serum in pg/ml on 5–7th day of the menstrual cycle, the intensity of dysmenorrhea and dyspareunia is assessed in points by a visual analogue pain scale (VAS). Value of each of the predictors is evaluated in points using the nomograms of the predictors as follows: survivin, pg/ml: with the value of survivin <10 is assigned 92 points; 10–19 — 84; 20–29 — 79; 30–39 — 77; 40–49 — 73; 50–59 — 62; 60–69 — 54; 70–79 — 46; 80–89 — 38; 90–99 — 31; 100–109 — 23; 110–119 — 15; 120–129 — 8; >130 — 0 points; severity of dysmenorrhea by VAS: value of dysmenorrhea by VAS 0–1 points is assigned 0 points; 2 — 14; 3 — 13; 4 — 11; 5 — 9; 6 — 7; 7 — 5; 8 — 4; 9 — 2; 10 — 0 points; severity of dyspareunia by VAS: value of dyspareunia by VAS 0 is assigned 0 points; 1–2 — 2; 3 — 6; 4 — 8; 5 — 10; 6 — 12; 7-8 — 14; 9 — 18; 10 — 20 points. Then all the points are summed up, and if the total score is more than 96, the probability of having EGE in the patients with DM 1 is more than 50 %.

EFFECT: method provides the possibility of prediction of EGE in patients with DM 1, easy to implement, low-traumatic, method serves as a basis for reasonable and timely prescription of therapeutic and preventive measures by determining the level of survivin in blood serum and assessing the severity of dysmenorrhea and dyspareunia by VAS in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus.
