SUBSTANCE: implementation of a conservative method of correcting keeled deformity in children and adolescents the following device is used: a pneumoorthosis made according to individual dimensions of the chest in the transverse, anteroposterior and vertical directions, where the level of measurement is the apex of the deformity. Pneumoorthosis consists of a latex pneumatic cushion, which has the ability to completely enclose the deformity and, as the deformity is corrected, change its shape over the area in the load zone, it also consists of bent to the shape of the patient’s chest circumference aluminium plate of two halves fastened together with aluminium loops on one edge and a belt on Velcro — on the other, which on the front arc has a support plate for the air bag, which, together with the air bag, is placed in a fabric bag. The pneumoorthosis also has an autonomous pressure control system consisting of a pressure sensor in the air bag, a controller, a pump, hoses for connecting to the air bag, a lithium-ion battery and a smartphone, while the signal is transmitted from the sensor to the smartphone, and from the smartphone to the pump and then to the bag to enable monitoring the pressure indicator in real time and adjusting towards decreasing or increasing pressure. Also, to implement the method, a mechanical spring device is used with the ability to perform compression up to 7 kg with the patient lying on his back on a flat surface. Pressure is applied to a local place of the anterior chest wall in the zone of maximum bulging, if, with a load not exceeding the specified maximum figure, the doctor receives correction of the deformity, the patient has indications for orthosis. For a test hour, the patient walks in a pneumoorthosis and the pressure is monitored using a smartphone and inflating the pneumocuff. If necessary, the pneumoorthosis elements are adjusted. The corrective stage of treatment begins with a wearing regimen from 20 pm to 8 am and 8 hours during the day for 2–3 weeks before the control examination; upon achieving correction, the maintenance stage is carried out comprising sleeping in the orthosis 3–4 nights a week with examinations once at 6 months for 1 year or until skeletal growth is complete.
EFFECT: invention ensures stopping progression, reducing or eliminating chest deformation, as well as the possibility of comfortable use by the patient and control by a doctor.
