A method for correcting keeled chest deformity, preventing compensatory kyphosis of the thoracic spine and correcting costal arch deformity is implemented by using an orthosis containing a chest plate, a back plate connected with the possibility of changing the relative position, two shoulder straps, a chest compression pad, a vertebral corrective plate with two frames, a tightening tape connected to the corrective plate, and also use a soft bandage equipped with vertically oriented pockets for rectangular rigid plates. The amount of compressive force sufficient to affect the deformed area of ​​the keeled chest is determined. The chest plate is installed on the chest, laying the compression pad on the area of ​​the keeled chest deformity. The back plate is placed on the back, placing the corrective plate along the spine, above the kyphosis of the thoracic spine. The plates are connected in a closed circuit by lateral adjusting movable plates. Shoulder straps fasten. The brace of the orthosis is installed. A bandage is installed on the tightening tape. Rigid rectangular plates are placed in the pockets. The tape covers the anterior surface of the chest in the region of 8, 9, 10 ribs.
