FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method and a system for determining a series of at least two values of temperature of a solder bath using a device, containing cable with fiber-optic core and detector. Method according to the present invention has been shown to be particularly suitable for a plurality of repeated measurements, during which the temperature of the solder bath varies between measurements. According to the disclosed proposal, there is provided a set of data relating the predicted values of temperature Tpred of the solder bath with the corresponding MP measurement profiles. Providing a model F(t) describing the change in temperature of the solder bath over time, and future moment of time t(n) is selected and value of temperature Tpred(n) of solder bath is predicted for moment of time. MP measurement profile is selected and the selected MP(n) measurement profile is used at time t(n) to obtain a measured temperature value Tmes(n). Calculating the predicted temperature Tpred(n+1) of the solder bath and selecting the MP(n+1) measurement profile, corresponding to predicted temperature Tpred(n+1). Selected measurement profile MP(n+1) is used at time t(n+1) to obtain measured temperature Tmes(n+1).
