FIELD: fire-fighting equipment.

SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to fire-fighting equipment, namely to device intended for impregnation of burning peat with fire-extinguishing liquid. Device for extinguishing peat fires comprises a telescopic shaft with a perforated tube and a drilling nozzle, connected to the shaft with possibility of rotation relative to it, a hollow handle equipped with a nozzle for connecting a flexible hose with a valve, which opens the supply of fire extinguishing liquid into a telescopic shaft with a perforated tube, in which a number of holes are made at acute, obtuse and right angles to the axis of the tube, perforated tube is arranged with possibility of fixed movement along its axis inside drilling nozzle equipped with nozzles, axes of which are displaced relative to axes of unidirectional holes in perforated tube by value of fixed movement selected from condition of complete overlapping of nozzles located at acute and right angles to axis of tube, and opening of nozzles located at obtuse angle. Perforated tube is equipped with a cylindrical nozzle thermally insulated from the main structure with a flange equipped with cutting plates, with a heat-sensitive element arranged inside with provision of temperature data transmission to a digital display, wherein the cylindrical branch pipe with the flange ends with a shank made in the form of a pointed screw.

EFFECT: invention provides high efficiency of extinguishing underground peat fires, expressed in the possibility of penetration of the device into hard-to-reach stumpy peat layers due to cutting plates, which provide crushing of solid rocks during burial, as well as determination of the moment of guaranteed extinguishing of the peat fire source and termination of the peat layer impregnation with the fire extinguishing liquid due to determination of the formation temperature in the area of the fire source.
