FIELD: smoking accessories.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the tobacco industry, in particular to the manufacture and control of products imitating the tobacco smoking process. Disclosed is a method of inspecting an elongated inductively heated aerosol-generating article for the presence of the required article orientation at a specific location of the article in equipment for making the article. Susceptor is provided for induction heating of aerosol-forming substrate contained in said article. Location of said susceptor on said article or in said article is asymmetric relative to the longitudinal axis of the article. To implement the method, the presence or absence of a susceptor is detected on the first control section of the article location using a first sensor. First sensor is configured to respond to a susceptor, which is at least one of the following: electrically conductive, magnetic or magnetized, and with the possibility of responding to the presence of a susceptor on the first control section. First reference section is selected so that the presence of a susceptor on the first reference section indicates the presence of the required orientation of the article at the location of the article. Presence of the required orientation of the article at the location of the article is determined if a susceptor is detected on the first control section. Disclosed is a device for checking an elongated inductively heated aerosol-generating article for the presence of the required orientation of the article in a specific location of the article in equipment for making the article.
EFFECT: high efficiency of rejecting aerosol-generating articles and providing the same arrangement of a group of articles in equipment for making said articles.
