FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to podiatric nippers for ingrown nail removal. Podiatric nippers for removal of ingrown nail contain handles from chrome-containing steel, connected to each other by means of hinged joint. Return spring is installed between handles. Cutting plates from alloyed steel or hard alloy are attached to handles, having an angle between front inner surfaces from 30 to 75°. Handles have elongated ends, cutting plates are soldered to inner vertical surfaces of elongated ends of handles. Tops of cutting plates protrude forward beyond elongated ends of handles. Value of the protruding end of the soldered cutting plate is from 5 to 60% of the value of the elongated end of the handle.
EFFECT: use of the invention provides higher reliability of connection of cutting plates and handles of podiatric nippers for removal of an ingrown nail.
