SUBSTANCE: described is a vaccine containing an avirulent and purified concentrated antigen of the O No. 2241/Ethiopia/2011 strain of the O/EA-3 genotype. Antigen is obtained in a suspension transplantable cell line from a kidney of a newborn Syrian hamster (BHK-21/SUSP/ARRIAH), which is a suspension containing mainly 146S immunogenic component of foot-and-mouth disease virus, oil adjuvant Montanide ISA-61 VG in effective ratios. Considering the marked strengthening of trade and economic relations between the Russian Federation and the African continent in recent years, the developed vaccine is relevant for ensuring biological safety of our country and, in general, veterinary well-being of foot-and-mouth disease in relation to the O/EA-3 genotype in the world.
EFFECT: vaccine possesses high immunogenicity, is absolutely safe and is able to provide effective protection against homologous infectious agent circulating in African countries.
