FIELD: veterinary virology and biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: cultural inactivated emulsion vaccine against foot-and-mouth disease of O/SEA/Mya-98 genotype from O No. 2383/Primorsky/2019 strain is described. The vaccine contains an avirulent and purified concentrated antigen of O No. 2383/Primorsky/2019 strain of foot and mouth disease virus of O/SEA/Mya-98 genotype obtained in a suspension transplanted cell line from the kidney of a newborn Syrian hamster (BHK-98/SUSP/ARRIAH), representing a suspension containing predominantly 146S immunogenic component of FMDV and Montanide ISA-71 R VG oil adjuvant in effective ratios. The vaccine is highly immunogenic and can provide effective protection against a homologous infectious agent circulating in Asian countries.
EFFECT: considering the recent increase in trade and economic relations between the Russian Federation and the countries of the Asian continent, the created vaccine is relevant for ensuring the biological safety of our country and, in general, veterinary well-being for FMD in relation to the O/SEA/Mya-98 genotype in the world.
