FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of applying a solution on hot glass to form transparent thin-film layers having a permanent antimicrobial effect. Solution for application of antimicrobial coating on glass surfaces contains at least one copper salt in hydrated form and at least one tin source in the form of monobutyl tin trichloride, tin tetrachloride or dibutyl tin diacetate in an alcoholic and/or aqueous medium. Solution is deposited on glass substrates by pyrolytic sputtering or chemical vapor deposition at atmospheric pressure.
EFFECT: coating is characterized by uniform distribution of copper throughout the thickness of the entire coating, wherein the coating has a high antibacterial and antiviral effect.
