FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to coatings for surfaces, more particularly to antimicrobial coatings. Process for preparing an antimicrobial coating solution comprises the following steps: (i) mixing the chelating agent with a titanium alkoxide and a fluoro-acetic acid; and (ii) adding an aqueous solution to the mixture prepared on step (i). Described antimicrobial coating is an activated visible light. Coating is applied to the surface and processed with heat in order to form a transparent layer on the surface. In particular, this is advantageous when the surface is glass.
EFFECT: method for preparing the antimicrobial coating for surfaces is proposed.
