FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: aerosol delivery device is claimed that comprises a segmented heater including a plurality of heating elements which are configured individually to be powered to heat up and thereby vaporize components of the aerosol precursor composition, and a control component for the segmented heater. The control component includes a logic circuit with a data input and a plurality of outputs, each of which is connected to a respective one of the plurality of heating elements of the segmented heater. The processor generates and provides a logic signal, including at least a high voltage level, to the data input of the logic circuit to cause the logic circuit to provide a high voltage level at one or more outputs of the plurality of logic circuit outputs, thereby providing power to the corresponding one or more heating elements of the plurality of heating elements of the segmented heater for heating.
EFFECT: vaporizing the components of the aerosol precursor composition.
