SUBSTANCE: invention relates to X-ray diagnostics and can be used to determine the transition of hepatic steatosis to steatohepatitis. Ultrasonic hepatic elastometry is performed to obtain a hepatic parenchyma stiffness value (P1), which is taken as 100%. Performing contrast-enhanced ultrasonic examination of liver and 20 minutes after the beginning of the intravenous administration of the contrast agent, repeated ultrasonic hepatic elastometry is performed to obtain a hepatic parenchyma stiffness (P2) value, which is expressed as a percentage. And if P2 is higher than P1 by more than 25%, the presence of a transition of hepatic steatosis to steatohepatitis is concluded, if P2 does not exceed P1 by more than 25%, no transition of hepatic steatosis to steatohepatitis is stated.

EFFECT: method enables to determine the transition of hepatic steatosis to steatohepatitis, based on the detection of pathophysiological mechanisms of this process, due to complex assessment of parameters of ultrasonic elastometry and contrast-enhanced ultrasonic examination of liver.
