SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of well surveys, in particular to means for detecting an adjacent well. Disclosed is a device for detecting an adjacent well, located on a drill collar of the first well. Device for detecting an adjacent well comprises a transmitting probe and a receiving probe. Wherein the transmitting probe is configured to generate a primary magnetic field in accordance with the bipolar short-term pulse signal supplied to the transmitting probe, wherein variation of primary magnetic field is capable of generating second magnetic field on casing of adjacent second well. Receiving probe is configured to generate an induced electromotive force in accordance with the second magnetic field. Induced electromotive force is used to obtain information on the relative distance and information on the azimuth of the adjacent well. In addition, the transmitting probe is a coil wound on a drill collar; and normal direction of coil wound on drill collar is parallel to axial direction of drill collar. Also disclosed is a method and a system for detecting an adjacent well.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining distance between adjacent wells.
