SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering and can be used to dampen the water flow in the end devices of closed pipelines and tunnel culverts. The water flow energy suppressor includes a conduit, a chamber with a lid and a cone oriented in the direction of the flow reflector, and an annular reflector, wherein the flow reflector is made in the form of a bowl with a curved concave surface and a cone in the center of the bowl, while the cavity of the expanding part of the chamber has a hollow nozzle, the inlet of which is directed downward and coaxially to the opening of the conduit, and the outlet is directed upwards, equipped with two diffusers mounted coaxially to each other and oriented with a gap in the direction of the sharp end of the cone in the center of the bowl, and the diffuser with a smaller base is connected to the outlet of the hollow nozzle, and the larger base of the diffuser with a larger diameter is directed towards the sharp end of the cone in the center of the bowl, the cone of which is sidewalled with the chamber lid, while the hollow nozzle and diffusers are connected by rigid connections with the inner side walls of the chamber, which increases their stability towards the direction of the sharp the ends of the cone are in the center of the bowl, and the side walls of the upper part of the diffuser with a large diameter are equipped with an annular reflector.
EFFECT: technical result is to increase the efficiency and reliability of the process of intensive kinetic energy quenching.
