SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to pharmaceutics, specifically to a vaccine composition for preventing infection with foot-and-mouth disease virus (FDM) and its use for treating or preventing FMD. Vaccine composition for the prevention of foot-and-mouth disease virus infection contains an effective amount of an inactivated FMD antigen and an adjuvant composition, where said vaccine composition contains an oil phase present in an amount of at least 45 vol/vol.% from said vaccine composition, an immunostimulating oligonucleotide and dextran (DEAE), and wherein said vaccine composition is a water-in-oil emulsion, wherein the immunostimulating oligonucleotide is a P-class CpG oligonucleotide, and wherein the oil present in said oil phase is a non-metabolisable oil. Use of the vaccine composition for treating or preventing FMD.
EFFECT: above group of inventions enables to obtain a stable and effective vaccine composition.
