FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of cosmetology and concerns determining the beneficial effect of the baby skin care composition. Method involves: a) measuring the concentration of one or more low-molecular weight metabolites on an infant skin area before using said composition; b) applying said composition to an infant skin area for a period of time; c) measuring the concentration of one or more low-molecular weight metabolites after using said composition. Composition is useful for infant skin if concentration of one or more low-molecular metabolites differs from control before application by at least 10%. One or more low-molecular weight metabolites are gamma-glutamyl amino acids or glycerol-3-phosphate.
EFFECT: invention provides determining the effective action of the composition for baby skin care.
