SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system for determining the state of a heating system for use in an aerosol-generating article or an aerosol-generating device, and a method for determining the state of heating systems for use in an aerosol-generating article or an aerosol-generating device. To this end, a system for determining specific resistance of a heating system for use in an aerosol-generating article comprises a receiver for accommodating a plurality of elements, wherein each element comprises a heating system to be tested; and testing unit, wherein the test assembly comprises a plurality of sensitive modules, each sensitive module comprising at least a pair of electrical contacts configured to pass electric current through them and configured to receive signals relating to properties of the heating system of each of the plurality of elements; and a processor configured to receive signals received by the sensitive modules and to determine the specific resistance of the heating system of each of the plurality of elements; and the sensitive modules are located in the test assembly with possibility of displacement.

EFFECT: inventions provide the advantage of providing a system for determining the state, for example of resistivity, of a heating system for use in an aerosol generating article, which enables to test a plurality of elements, each of which comprises a real-time heating system, which reduces the effect on assembly lines producing and using heating systems.
