SUBSTANCE: car bonnet hinge comprises release assembly with retainer supported by one of the elements and a releasable pin supported by the other element. Released pin is fixed by a retainer in the closed and open positions. Drive is used to engage with the second element to move the second element upward relative to the first element in response to the collision signal. Released pin is released by the retainer, providing the possibility of the second element rotation around the connecting pin relative to the first element into the bonnet open position. In the event of a collision, the retaining connecting link moves with the pin so that the pin engages with the slot. At maximum opening of the bonnet, the pin enters the clamp near the slot and its fast return (rebound) begins. With the retained force with which the bonnet acts on the clamp, the pin passes through the clamp and comes out of it, and the bonnet decelerates, coming to the final position after the collision.

EFFECT: protection of pedestrian in case of frontal impact at collision with pedestrian is achieved.
