FIELD: medicine; dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry, and is intended for use in gnathic dentistry, as well as for the separation of the dental rows during medical manipulations in the oral cavity. The gnathic device includes a case made of medical silicone with an occlusal relief and with the edges bent outwards of the case to rest on the dental arch. The device is made detachable and consists of two bite blocks, the cases of which are made with an occlusal relief on opposite sides and are connected to each other by a vestibular arch made of medical silicone. The opposite sides of the vestibular arch are made with a fixing relief, and its ends are installed in loops rigidly fixed to the block cases. The case of each block is made in the form of a truncated pyramid with a cavity inside and a through hole in the larger base of the pyramid for installing an air valve, the case of which is made in the form of a cylinder with a through axial hole. One end of the air valve is made with flanges on the outer surface for fixing relatively to the opening of the block case, and the other end is equipped with an adjustment ring mounted on the outer surface and an internal thread for connecting to the air supply source or installing a locking device. Inside the air valve, perpendicular to its axis, there are fixed blades made in the form of mirror-arranged sectors rigidly connected by an arc to the valve case, and movable blades made in the form of mirror-arranged sectors connected to each other and with fixed blades with the possibility of rotation. The movable blades are additionally connected to the adjusting ring by means of a rod installed in a through groove made in the air valve case, and which makes it possible to rotate the movable blades at an angle of 90 degrees.
EFFECT: technical task and result of the present invention is to expand the functional capabilities of the device by providing a regulated and programmable effect on the hypertonus of the masticatory muscles, removing the pain effect in the muscles, eliminating dysfunction in the temporomandibular joint, as well as providing possibility of separating the dental rows during medical manipulations in the oral cavity.
