FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to occupational medicine, and can be used to predict the risk of developing metabolic syndrome in men exposed to electric and magnetic fields of industrial frequency. Venous blood is sampled, genetic material is recovered, real-time polymerase chain reaction is carried out, nucleotide sequence of polymorphic variants Arg16Gly (rs1042713) and Gln27Glu (rs1042714) of gene ADRB2 and rs12150660 of gene SHBG is determined. In case of simultaneous detection of unfavourable allele G rs1042713 or allele G rs1042714 of ADRB2 gene in combination with unfavourable allele T rs12150660 of SHBG gene risk of developing metabolic syndrome in men exposed to electric and magnetic fields of industrial frequency is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides more reliable prediction of the risk of developing metabolic syndrome in men exposed to electric and magnetic fields of industrial frequency by determining polymorphic variants rs1042713 and rs1042714 of gene ADRB2 and rs12150660 of SHBG gene.
