SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a piece of equipment and a method for logistic products in the form of plates. Equipment (1) for logistic products in form of plates comprises line (3) for supplying product (2) in form of plate and line (4) for dispensing product (2) in form of plate; robotic gripping unit (5) of article (2) in the form of a plate, equipped with at least three degrees of freedom and located between supply line (3) and dispensing line (4); first means (6) for moving gripping unit (5) along direction of movement (A) to define working zone (7) of gripping unit (5). Feed line (3) and said dispensing line (4) are substantially aligned relative to each other along displacement direction (A). Equipment also comprises a plurality of temporary storage stations (8) of article (2) in the form of a plate, located on the side of gripping unit (5) and substantially aligned with each other to define at least one row (F) substantially parallel to the direction of movement (A). Gripping unit (5) lifts plate-like article (2) coming from feed line (3); positions plate-like article (2) at one of storage stations (8) and lifts plate-like article (2) from one of storage stations (8) and delivers it to dispensing line (4).
