SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to liquid polybutadiene and a method for production thereof and use thereof, invention also relates to a composition comprising liquid polybutadiene, to a polymer coating comprising liquid polybutadiene or a composition, an adhesive material comprising liquid polybutadiene or a composition, and a cross-linking agent comprising liquid polybutadiene or a composition. Liquid polybutadiene has number average molecular weight 2,500–5,500 and molecular weight distribution index 1–1.2; based on the total amount of liquid polybutadiene, content of 1,2-structural link in the liquid polybutadiene is 85–95 wt.%, content of 1,4-structural link in liquid polybutadiene is 5–15 wt.%, and the molar ratio of the cis-1,4-structural link to the trans-1,4-structural link in the liquid polybutadiene is 1–2:1; and dynamic viscosity of liquid polybutadiene at 45 °C makes 100–500 poise. Method of producing liquid polybutadiene involves bringing 1,3-butadiene into contact with a structure modifier and an organolithium initiator in a polymerisation solvent, where the structure modifier includes component A and component B, where component B is a compound selected from alkali metal alkoxides, and component A is a compound selected from dimethyl ether of diethylene glycol, diethyl ether of diethylene glycol, di-n-propyl ether of diethylene glycol, di-n-butyl ether of diethylene glycol and 1,2-dipiperidinyl ethane.

EFFECT: providing liquid polybutadiene, having good fluidity, good film-forming ability and good coating characteristics, and the formed coating has improved adhesion to the base, as well as providing a method of producing such liquid polybutadiene.
