SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an anisotropic electrical steel sheet mainly used as the core of an electrical device such as a transformer, and to a method for producing the anisotropic electrical steel sheet. The anisotropic electrical steel sheet comprises a base steel sheet having a flat surface and a groove-forming surface by which the groove is formed; and a tension coating formed on the base steel sheet and containing a compound of phosphoric acid, phosphate, chromic anhydride, chromate, alumina or silica, the tension coating having a flat surface covering portion formed on the flat surface and a groove forming surface covering portion formed on the surface forming the groove, and the average thickness of the coating section covering the flat surface is t1, the minimum thickness of the coating section covering the surface forming the groove is t2min, and the maximum thickness of the coating section covering the surface forming the groove is t2max, and Expressions (1) and (2) are satisfied), and wherein the value of the coating distance D multiplied by 0.95 with tension along the thickness direction of the sheet from the lower position of the surface of the section forming the groove forming the surface to the lower position of the surface of the section covering the flat surface represents the effective depth d, and Expression (3) is satisfied, t2min/t1 ≥ 0.4 (1), t2max/t1 ≤ 3.0 (2), t2max ≤ d/2 (3), wherein t2min is the minimum value of the thickness of the section covering the surface forming the groove in the direction perpendicular to this surface, and t2max represents the maximum value of the thickness of the portion covering the surface forming the groove in a direction perpendicular to this surface. The method for producing the anisotropic electrical steel sheet includes a groove forming step of forming a linear groove on a cold-rolled steel sheet before or after a final annealing step in a direction intersecting the rolling direction of the cold-rolled steel sheet and a tension coating step forming a coating containing a compound of phosphoric acid, phosphate, chromic anhydride, chromate, alumina, or silica on the groove.
EFFECT: creation of a sheet having grooves formed on the surface of a base steel sheet, in which magnetic losses are lower than that of an existing product, while maintaining the insulating properties (insulating ability) and corrosion resistance.
