FIELD: aerosol-generating devices.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an aerosol-generating device having an induction heating assembly, a method for controlling an aerosol-generating device having an induction heating assembly, and an aerosol-generating system comprising an aerosol-generating device having an induction heating assembly. The aerosol-generating device contains an induction heating assembly configured to heat the aerosol-generating substrate. The induction heating assembly comprises: a current collector assembly heated by penetration of a varying magnetic field therein for heating an aerosol-generating substrate, the first LC circuit, the first LC circuit at least comprising the first induction coil and the first capacitor, and the second LC -circuit, wherein the second LC circuit at least includes the second induction coil and the second capacitor, and a controller. The first and second LC circuits have the same resonant frequency. The controller is configured to drive the first LC circuit with the first alternating current to generate the first alternating magnetic field for heating the first portion of the current collector assembly. The controller is also configured to drive the second LC circuit with the second alternating current to generate the second alternating magnetic field for heating the second portion of the current collector assembly. In this case, the controller is configured to supply the first alternating current with a frequency corresponding to the resonant frequency of the LC circuits, and to supply the second alternating current with a frequency different from the resonant frequency. An aerosol-generating system comprising an aerosol-generating device and an aerosol-generating article containing an aerosol-generating substrate.
EFFECT: creation of an aerosol generation device that allows the generation of various alternating magnetic fields.
