FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cartridge system suitable for germicidal treatment of opaque liquids. Ultraviolet reactor for pasteurisation of liquid food products comprises a first cassette mounting frame, one or more spiral tubes extending from the inlet end to the outlet end, forming a fluid channel, at least two cassettes extending from the first end to the second end, and one or more filters. Cassette-mounting frame has cassette-receiving holes, in which each of the cassettes is installed in a detachable manner. Each cassette contains one or more radiation sources irradiating said one or more spiral tubes, wherein said one or more radiation sources emit radiation with wavelength in range of 180–300 nm. Said one or more spiral tubes are arranged between two of said at least two cassettes. Said one or more filters are located between said one or more radiation sources and said one or more spiral tubes and preventing radiation with wavelength greater than 300 nm from reaching said one or more spiral tubes.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of liquid food products pasteurisation.
