FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of treating dental pulp pathology in patients with periodontitis. For this purpose, the periodontal pocket after mechanical treatment is filled with a copper-calcium hydroxide paste. Thereafter, a strip of aluminum foil is introduced into the periodontal pocket to provide galvanic contact of said strip and paste, and the strip of foil is fixed by means of glue. Copper-calcium hydroxide and foil strip are left in periodontal pocket for 10 to 14 days, with subsequent treatment of the root surface with a fluorine-containing dentin-sealing compound.
EFFECT: invention provides a pronounced antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory action on a persistent microbiota of a periodontal pocket and dentinal tubules, inaccessible for mechanical and drug treatment during traditional treatment.
