FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to refining of liquid cast iron. Burner, having injection holes for injection of fuel and gas supporting combustion, is located on front end part of one tuyere, through which oxidising gas is blown from above to liquid cast iron contained in converter or on front end part of another tuyere. Powdered auxiliary material or auxiliary material processed into powder form, which is fed into liquid cast iron from said one tuyere or said other tuyere passes through the flame formed by the burner. Said top blowing tuyere for converter is configured to provide preset heating time, as well as preset powder-fuel index.
EFFECT: invention allows in the process of liquid cast iron refining to optimize the heat reserve by heat transfer by the burner due to the operating parameters control, including the tuyere height, which improve efficiency of heat transfer, and increase amount of used raw material containing solid cast iron.
