FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to obstetrics and resuscitation, and can be used to assess the severity of postpartum haemorrhage in women who have undergone surgical delivery and vaginal delivery. Heart rate (HR), diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and peripheral oxygen saturation (SpO2) are measured. Percentage of blood loss (Pbl) is calculated by formula: Pbl = 631.7 + 0.28 * HR – 0.35 * DBP – 6.36 * SpO2, and if the Pbl value is less than 10%, the blood loss is considered to be acceptable; if the Pbl value is 10–25%, the blood loss is considered to be pathological; and if the Pbl value is more than 25%, the blood loss is considered to be critical.

EFFECT: method enables increasing the accuracy of assessing postpartum haemorrhage, simplifying and reducing the length of the diagnosis by using the parameters most accurately reflecting the compensatory responses in the patients.
