SUBSTANCE: invention relates to silicone hydrogel contact lenses. Disclosed is a silicone-hydrogel contact lens comprising a cross-linked polymer material, which contains links of a polydiorganosiloxane vinyl cross-linking agent of formula (1), in which υ1 is integer from 30 to 500 and ω1 is integer from 1 to 75 provided that ω1/υ1 ranges from approximately 0.035 to approximately 0.15; X0 is O; R1 is hydrogen or methyl; R2 and R3 independently represent unsubstituted C1-C10 alkylene divalent radical or a divalent radical -R5-O-R6-, in which R5 and R6 independently represent unsubstituted C1-C10 alkylene divalent radical; R4 is a monovalent radical of formula (6), q1 is zero or 1; n1 is integer from 2 to 4; R7 is hydrogen or methyl; wherein the polydiorganosiloxane vinyl cross-linking agent is characterized by a number-average molecular weight of about 3000 Da to about 80,000 Da.

EFFECT: disclosed silicone hydrogel contact lens enables penetration of a sufficient amount of oxygen through the contact lens to the cornea with minimal negative effects on the normal state of the cornea.
