FIELD: chemical industry; pharmaceutical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of film coatings and polymer coatings for solid dosage forms. Described is a water-soluble monomer based on glycoluril substituted with glyoxalic acid fragments at nitrogen atoms for producing polymer compositions, selected from a group having as a monomer link a mono-N-substituted, di-N-substituted, tri-N-substituted glycoluril, containing a glyoxalic acid residue and characterized by chemical shifts in 13C NMR spectrum 170±5 ppm, 160±5 ppm, 75±5 ppm, 65±5 ppm. Described also is a method of producing a water-soluble monomer, which consists in the fact that glycoluril is subjected to condensation with glyoxalic acid in molar ratio glycoluril/glyoxalic acid 1:1.5–1:5 at 20–90 °C until complete dissolution, with subsequent stepwise evaporation of residual water at temperature of 40–95 °C.
EFFECT: providing a water-soluble monomer and a method of producing said monomer based on glycolurilate with output of at least 90%.
