SUBSTANCE: described is a group of inventions comprising a test system based on a complex for detecting target nucleic acid molecules, use of the complex for detecting target DNA or RNA and a method for determining the presence of a target nucleic acid molecule in a sample. In one embodiment, the test system contains a complex based on a short argonaut protein from the bacterium Novosphingopyxis baekryungensis (NbaAgo), having the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 1, its partner protein DREN from the bacterium Novosphingopyxis baekryungensis, having the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 2, as well as a guide RNA, a target nucleic acid molecule and a universal fluorescent reporter.

EFFECT: invention extends the range of means for detecting target nucleic acid molecules.
