FIELD: smoking accessories.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aerosol-generating substrate element. Aerosol-generating substrate element comprises an aerosol-generating substrate including homogenised tobacco material and glycerine. Content of glycerine is from 10 to 30% in terms of dry weight. Paper layer surrounding the aerosol-generating substrate has thickness of 78 to 160 mcm. At least 80% of the circumference of the aerosol-generating substrate is surrounded by less than two paper layers. Paper layer has a ratio of the thickness of the paper to the diameter of the tobacco substrate from 1:120 to 1:40.

EFFECT: providing a visually and mechanically stable aerosol-generating substrate element, in which the paper wrapper does not affect the flavour/aroma of the aerosol and does not adversely affect the heating of the aerosol-generating substrate heated without combustion, in addition, reduced amount of unused aerosol-generating substrate inside aerosol-generating element.
