SUBSTANCE: described is a method for detecting RNA of the measles virus by real-time RT-PCR. It provides for extraction of RNA from biological samples, followed by a two-step reaction—reverse transcription and polymerase chain reaction for the target RNA fragments of the virus genome. Method involves using a set of oligonucleotide primers and a corresponding fluorescent labeled probe.
EFFECT: wider range of products used to detect the measles virus.
