FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to paediatrics, paediatric endocrinology and microbiology, and can be used for prediction of risks of phenotype formation of metabolically unhealthy obesity (MUO). A body weight index (BWI = weight (kg)/height (m)2) is calculated and the presence of types of microorganisms recovered from the luminal contents of the large intestine is assessed: Bifidobacterium catenulatum, Lactococcus lactis, Candida albicans, Streptococcus salivarius, Weissella confusa – 1st group; Bifidobacterium pseudocatenulatum, Enterococcus mundtii, Acidovorax temperans, Veillonella parvula, Streptococcus oralis, Parabacteroides distasonis – 2nd group. Based on the obtained data, 1 point is assigned in case of isolation of each microorganism from 2nd group or absence of microorganism from 1st group. Then points are summed up and microbiological index is obtained; probability of MUO development is calculated by the formula. If value P≥0.78 concludes on the presence of a risk of MUO development. If value P<0.78 78 there is no risk of MUO development.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of increasing the accuracy of prediction of the risk of developing complications of obesity in children due to the microbiological assessment of the species diversity of the microflora recovered from the luminal contents of the large intestine.
