FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to magnetic assemblies and methods of producing optical effect layers (OEL), in particular to magnetic assemblies, methods of producing said OEL as anti-counterfeit agents on protected documents or protected articles or for decorative purposes. Magnetic assembly (x00) for producing an optical effect layer (OEL) on a substrate (x20) is configured to receive the substrate (x20) in an orientation at least partially parallel to the first plane (P), and further comprises: a) a first device (x30) generating a magnetic field, comprising at least four first dipole magnets (x31), the north poles of which point in one direction and magnetic axes of which are oriented such that they are parallel to first plane (P), wherein said first dipole magnets (x31) are spaced apart. Each of the first dipole magnets (x31) is located at the intersection of at least two parallel straight lines αi (i = 1, 2, ...) and at least two parallel straight lines βj (j = 1, 2, ...), wherein straight lines αi and βj form a mesh. At that, at least two first dipole magnets (x31) are located on one of straight lines αi, and at least two other first dipole magnets (x31) are located on another of straight lines αi, and magnetic axes of the first dipole magnets (x31) are oriented parallel to parallel straight lines αi and wherein first dipole magnets (x31) of said first magnetic field generating device (x30) are partially or completely embedded in first carrier matrix (x32); and b) a second magnetic field generating device (x40) comprising one or more second dipole magnets (x41), the magnetic axes of which are oriented such that they are parallel to the first plane (P), and wherein one or more second dipole magnets (x41) are partially or completely embedded in second carrier matrix (x42). Besides, the second magnetic field generating device (x40) is located under the first magnetic field generating device (x30), and each straight line αi and vector sum H of magnetic axes of one or more second dipole magnets (x41) are not parallel and are not perpendicular to each other.

EFFECT: development of reliable, easy-to-implement and capable to operate at high operating speed with provision of possibility of creation of OEL magnetic assembly and a method having a dynamic effect and being difficult for mass production with equipment available to a counterfeiter.
