FIELD: information protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for the protection of documents from the illegal reproduction. A device for obtaining on substrate an optical-effect layer (OEL) containing a composition curable under the effect of radiation, containing non-spherical flattened magnetic or magnetized pigment particles, includes a rotating magnetic assembly, the axis of rotation of which is perpendicular to the substrate surface. The rotating magnetic assembly contains a device generating a magnetic field, containing a disc-shaped, loop-shaped or rod dipole magnet, the magnetic axis of “North-South” direction of which is perpendicular to the axis of rotation. At the same time, the dipole magnet contains at least one pair of notches, cavities or ledges that are located symmetrically relatively to the axis of rotation of the magnetic assembly and asymmetrically relatively to a mirror plane that is perpendicular to the magnetic axis of “North-South” direction of the dipole magnet and passes through the axis of rotation. A method for obtaining an optical-effect layer is also proposed.
EFFECT: claimed group of inventions provides for improvement of the reliability of protection of document authenticity.
