FIELD: information protection.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for the protection of documents from the illegal reproduction. An optical-effect layer (hereinafter – OEL) contains a composition curable under the effect of radiation, containing non-spherical flattened magnetic or magnetized pigment particles, which are oriented according to an orientation picture. The orientation picture is axially-symmetrical relatively to the center of rotation, while non-spherical flattened magnetic or magnetized pigment particles in at least two different locations xi along any selected diameter of OEL have such values of an average zenith angle of deflection φ' and an average polar angle θ relatively to the selected diameter that they are satisfied with a condition | φ' sin (θ) | ≥10°. The optical-effect layer provides optical impression of at least one spot moving around the circle or at least one spot in the form of comet, rotating around the center of rotation, when OEL is tilted. The use of the optical-effect layer, an object, which is a protected document or a decorative element, a device for obtaining on substrate an optical-effect layer, and a method for obtaining an optical-effect layer are also proposed.

EFFECT: claimed group of inventions provides for improvement of the reliability of protection of document authenticity.
