FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices used in surgery, and can be used in the postoperative period in patients who have undergone abdominal surgery. Device for measuring intra-abdominal pressure consists of a catheter for insertion into an intra-abdominal cavity into a filled bladder of a patient and a data recorder and comprises two MEMS barometers. Catheter is provided with digital signal and power conductors, at the end of which there is one MEMS barometer, a filtering capacitor, located on the board and placed in a protective shell made of elastic material, also comprises a four-core cable tightly connected to the conductors inside the catheter and the catheter itself, with a connector on the other end of the cable, connected to a data recorder. Data logger includes a microcontroller with memory, a second MEMS barometer for measuring ambient atmospheric pressure, having a digital communication line with a data logger, built-in battery for autonomous operation, charged from the USB line when the data logger is connected to it. One MEMS barometer is configured to be located inside the abdominal cavity, and the other is outside. Method of measuring intra-abdominal pressure involves catheter insertion with digital signal and power conductors, at the end of which there is a MEMS barometer, a filtering capacitor, located on the board and placed in a protective shell made of elastic material, four-core cable tightly connected to the conductors inside the catheter and the catheter itself, a connector on the other end of the cable for connecting the catheter to the data recorder, into the working area for measuring intra-abdominal pressure using a previously installed Foley catheter, filling of urinary bladder with normal saline solution in volume of 25–50 ml, fixation by data logger, including a microcontroller with memory, a second MEMS barometer for measuring ambient atmospheric pressure, a built-in battery for autonomous operation, values obtained by MEMS barometers with subsequent calculation of the value of intra-abdominal pressure, obtained by subtracting from the pressure value of the MEMS barometer located inside the abdominal cavity, pressure value of MEMS barometer located outside, at that, before use MEMS barometers reduced to the same value of atmospheric pressure.
EFFECT: simplified design, ease of use, increased sensitivity, stability and accuracy of measurements of intra-abdominal pressure.
