SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to thin corrugated steel strip used in various industries, in particular construction, machine building, automotive industry, shipbuilding. Strip has the following chemical composition, wt.%: C ≤ 0.06, Si ≤ 0.5, Mn ≤ 1.7, P ≤ 0.04, S ≤ 0.007, N: 0.004–0.010, Als < 0.001, B: 0.001–0.006, total oxygen [O]_T: 0.007–0.020, Fe and unavoidable impurities are the rest, with Mn/S ≥ 250. Strip pattern height is at least 20% of its thickness, and its microstructure is a mixed microstructure of polygonal ferrite, needle ferrite and pearlite.

EFFECT: strip possesses required mechanical properties with considerable increase of productivity and reduction of prime cost.
